The BBC in my opinion leads the way for all commercial and government broadcasters in terms of web publishing. Via Tom Scott, I’ve just come across some of the things that their music site is doing with microformats.
hCard
All artists and recording companies are marked up as hCards. Visit the page on ABBA using Operator, Tails, or webcards for an example.
But most impressive is their use of the hReview format for music reviews, like this one of ABBA live.
All kinds of things the BBC is doing are hugely impressive, (one exception being their use of RealAudio for music streaming - c’mon people). Well done to the folks who’ve added a few (thousand) more microformats to the web.
